Music on a Mission is the inaugural benefit concert of Everyone Deserves Music Inc. Proceeds from our fundraiser will go towards providing funding for Music Therapy programs for children with special needs, in schools of south-east Queensland.
Join us on Wednesday, 20th July for a fantastic night, where you can catch Melbourne’s Em Rusciano as MC, on the tail of her sell-out, critically-acclaimed national tour. As if that’s not enough, join these talented Gold Coast/Northern NSW bands who have generously donated their time and talent, The Ruiins, The Lamplights and The Delicates as they rock Miami Marketta to its core, all for Music Therapy.
Doors open at 5pm. Come and enjoy the flavours of Miami Marketta’s Tapas Club (additional to ticket price) before the concert starts. There will be plenty of food available and a fully licensed bar.
Through the support of the local community and businesses we are also hosting a Wine Pull throughout the evening. What’s a Wine Pull? It’s a lucky-dip with a difference. For $20 you choose a cork (additional to ticket cost). Each cork has a number on it, which corresponds to a bottle of wine, so everyone’s a winner. Trade your cork for your bottle of wine and it may even have another awesome prize attached to it, if you’re lucky.
So, what are you waiting for!? Buy your tickets, NOW!
Please contact us if you wish to sponsor our event, either through the purchase of a sponsorship package or through the provision of prizes or wine for our Wine Pull.

“★★★★★ Em Rusciano is an irrepressible force of nature.” Rip it up
After belting out tunes in the privacy of her shower in her early twenties, Em auditioned for Australian Idol. She made the Top Ten finalists during the show’s hugely popular second season, and her star began to ascend. In Idol she showed she had more to offer than solely as a singer, and the media across Australia took note.
First cab off the rank was Austereo who snapped her up to host Perth’s top rating 92.9 breakfast radio show. During her time in the west Em interviewed Prime Ministers, traded baby-stories with suburban mums and jammed with the Black Eyed Peas. She riffed on everything from US politics, to post-natal depression to Lady Gaga’s man-bits, and drove the Breakfast Show to ratings supremacy, year after year.
“all the wit, warmth and charisma in the world.” Herald Sun
“An amazing and talented woman.” Linda Wayman, Austereo General Manager
Network Ten’s The Project noticed Em’s special ‘something’ and hired her as a presenter in 2010, followed by Network Nine’s The Circle, and she went on to become a regular on both Nine and Ten’s Morning Shows. Across these she has co-hosted programs, undertaken key interviews, prepared international reports and been a local correspondent and presenter.
2011 saw Em write and present her first solo comedy/cabaret show The Saintly Bitch Sings. Selling out and grabbing accolades it spurred her to continue down this live performance path. She wrote and produced Em Rusciano – The Musical and presented it as her debut at Melbourne Cabaret Festival. It was a sold out season that also garnered her a coveted Green Room Award nomination along the way.
Em went on to make her Melbourne International Comedy Festival debut in 2013, and what a debut it was! Puberty Rhythm and Blues was a total sell out, had extra shows added, and grabbed rave reviews from the media. She also featured in prestigious showcase shows – and Em Rusciano had “arrived” on the live scene in Australia. In 2015 Em sold out her entire runs at the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals before her seasons even opened, resulting in “by demand”additional shows and tours across all capitals.
Em co-hosted the 2014-15 Telstra NYE fireworks show at Sydney’s Dawes Point to an internationally live-streaming audience.
